Eric Chenowith
Eric Chenowith founded Leverage Disability and Life Insurance Services in July of 2018 after a nearly six-year tenure at Parq Advisors in Beverly Hills. Eric joined the prestigious life and disability firm of Parq Advisors in Beverly Hills after eight years as a professional basketball player and an additional three years of coaching and teaching at his alma mater, Villa Park High School. As a high school basketball player, he was selected to the McDonald's All-American Team in 1997. He played collegiately for the University of Kansas and was drafted by the New York Knicks in the 2nd round (42nd overall pick) of the 2001 NBA Draft. Eric’s career spans eight years playing with eight different NBA organizations, D-League Teams, and International clubs allowing him to develop a multitude of relationships in the sports and entertainment industries worldwide.
Eric is a registered supporter and sponsor of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletes (NACDA), National Collegiate Athletic Associations (NCAA) National Association for Athletic Compliance (NAAC) and works directly with university athletic directors at most of the Power Five institutions to assist with their student-athlete disability insurance needs. Along with specializing in Professional and Student-Athlete Sports Disability Insurance, Eric also provides sound life insurance guidance for athletes, entertainers, and affluent individuals. Eric is the point person for Capitas Financials' DI Center servicing the Lloyd's of London Sports and Entertainment Disability Insurance needs for over 40 Institutional Banks.
Currently, Eric is a member of the Board Development Task Force at the Orange County Ronald McDonald House in Orange, California, where he is a key influence on identifying and appointing leaders in the Orange County business community to the Board of Directors for the home. Eric is also a supporter of the Jessie Rees Foundation and the 2018 winner of the NEGU Golf Classic.
Be sure to look out for Eric on TV as he is an occasional guest on ESPN. He's been featured for sports topics on The Russillo and Kanell Show along with Outside The Lines with Bob Ley. Eric also served as a featured guest on NBATV with Rick Kamla discussing various NBA and NBA D-League Personal.
Eric lives in Corona del Mar with his Son, Cooper, and French Bulldog, Sophie. His hobbies include spin, surfing, golf, playing the drums, and mountain biking.
